In the center of Gaza - atop the rubble that used to be a home. He lost his home and livelihood - the only remnants a few stuffed animals. What can he do now? He sits in his ruins.

Gaza has become a living hell.

What role do these people, these children, who did not choose to live here, who did not choose this life, in all of this?

Aid will be needed for the coming days, weeks, and months.

It's easy to beat the drums of for war from behind a keyboard. And during these times, dangerous to speak truth and add nuance within echo chambers of cowardly zeal.

You are on the right of history and morality, and I am proud to count you as brothers and sisters.

When the dust settles, the split between the wrong and right sides of history will be drawn along lines of temperance, compassion, and humanity - not ethnicity, nationality, and faith.

Israel claims this started with Hamas’ surprise attack on October 7th

We know this started long ago, 75 years ago

Israel claimed that 1,400 people were killed by Hamas

Israel also claimed that women were raped and babies were beheaded and that babies were burned in ovens

All such claims have been negated

Moreover, the number has now been reduced to 1,200 and only 400 were civilians

We have also learned that Hamas did not shoot these civilians - rather the IDF shot them down via Apache helicopters and Israeli snipers shooting at their own people
