UN Security Council passes resolution calling for massive increase in humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza.
The resolution’s approval follows days-long delay aimed at avoiding a US veto, but many observers slam the final text for not calling for a halt or break in fighting.
Once again, the UN is agreeing to a convenient humanitarian pause - just like they did for Black Friday. As expected, they are calling for a humanitarian pause as we go into Christmas weekend. What is unclear is if this will continue through the New Year, or just after the weekend. Either way, the fact that that US is still not calling for a permanent ceasefire, is ludicrous, hateful, and inhumane.
Israel continues to lie, trap, and murder Palestinians. They told the Gazans to flee to Deir el-Balah - where Motaz resides, and then BOMBED them. Their goal? To trip Palestinians together so that they kill more people at once - their goal is mass murder, ahem, GENOCIDE. Their goal is ethnic cleansing. Israel’s bombardment of Gaza continues after it ordered civilians to evacuate the Bureij refugee camp; children are among the wounded in attacks on Deir el-Balah.
Israel’s goal is murder Motaz and ALL journalists. They have killed 97 journalists since October 7th. They won’t even let independent journalists into Gaza - they kill the Al Jazeera and independent journalists alike, and if there are western journalists, they are guided by the IDF/IOF - Can you say conflict of interest - ahem, COVER-UP?!! It’s precisely why they do this - to HIDE THEIR CRIMES. It’s the same reason they keep cutting off the internet - to commit atrocities in the dark literally and figuratively.
FINALLY, 77 days later, US Senators Brian Schatz, Peter Welch, Chris Van Hollen, Tim Kaine, and Cory Booker have called on President Joe Biden to urge the governments of Israel & Egypt to protect press freedom and allow journalists into Gaza to cover the war.
The head of the World Health Organization calls the situation in Gaza “heartbreaking” and warns famine is “looming.”
The US accuses Iran of being “deeply involved” in attacks by the Yemen-based Houthis in the Red Sea.
Yemen is the only Arab, Muslim country actively trying to stop the genocide. They are hitting Israel where it hurts - their pocketbooks. Finally, Israel, the UK, and the US are losing their mind. So what do they do? They form a coalition of the strongest countries to stop the poorest country from standing with justice. The lengths they will go to continue their depraved, greed-driven mission to end Gaza, secure their oil, and create a resort for Israel is deplorable.
The UN World Food Program stops food aid to Yemen. Commentary: Yemen is being punished for standing with Gaza, for standing with humanity. The world is upside down and on fire. If this isn’t the end of the world as we know it, I don’t know what is.
And now the US is considering air strikes on Yemen - this will surely bring on WWII. And Yemen is not backing down. Good on them.
