Day 6: Free Speech is undermined by Germany

This moment is really exposing the hypocrisy of “democracies” in Europe.

Germany is trying to internally address its past sins by punishing Palestinians, and those who carry about innocent lives in Gaza.

Germany outlawed carrying a Palestinian flag publicly, protesting for Palestine, and publicly opposing the war on Gaza. Free speech out the door when it’s convenient for the West.

Israelis began to wake up to the hypocrisy of Israel:

I appreciate this note.

There are people inside of Israel who oppose what is happening in Gaza but are too afraid to speak up now.

The bloodthirst and culture of war is silencing those who oppose Netanyahu and the genocide in Gaza.

They are being intimidated and silenced.

We have to resist that animalistic urge to see one another as soulless monsters. That existential struggle within is one of the most gruelling theatres of war.

This woman, who is sharing her thoughts with me still, manifests that. War kills bodies, but it also has the effect of killing our souls while we still walk the earth.
