Gaza Diaries

By People of Consciousness

Welcome to Gaza Diaries, a daily diary of the genocide in Gaza. We share stories of the brave and beautiful people of Palestine, the sweet martyrs and their unfulfilled dreams, and the ways you can stop the genocide and support humanity.

"... whoever takes a life …it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity..." (Qur'an 5:32)

As we continue to lose journalists in Gaza, since there is now nowhere safe in Gaza, we want to collectively document every single story/image/video that has happened in the event that we lose all our journalists. Moreover, the people on the ground have asked us to do so, so this is the least we can do.

  • Please add images, videos, stories, as you see fit.

  • Please feel free to fact-check each other by only writing the truth.

  • Cite sources where possible.

Day 93: Our beloved Journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh loses his last son, another Journalist. Hamza & Mustafa were assassinated by Israel to suppress the truth.

What you have to realize is that all of these journalists are friends and relatives. Hind, Motaz, Bisan, all of them are mourning the losses of Hamza & Mustafa. These men were in a safe area, covering one of Israel’s latest murders and their cellphones were pinged - and Israel was able to locate them and assassinate them.

Israel has assassinated journalists’ families to silence them - none more than Wael El-Dahdouh, but he keeps going. He has suffered unimaginable loss at the hands of Israel and he keeps going for his people, to share the truth, and to stop the genocide. His son was following in his footsteps, and he too, was take from Wael.

@wael_eldahdouh: Pray for this man. Over and over again. Only 24 hours after his son Hamza was killed, the great @wael_eldahdouh is back in the job, for Day 94, of the crisis in Gaza. What a man, what a marvel. This man oozes strength, faith and everything good in life. May Allah reward him immensely.

UN Security Council passes resolution calling for massive increase in humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza.

The resolution’s approval follows days-long delay aimed at avoiding a US veto, but many observers slam the final text for not calling for a halt or break in fighting.

Once again, the UN is agreeing to a convenient humanitarian pause - just like they did for Black Friday. As expected, they are calling for a humanitarian pause as we go into Christmas weekend. What is unclear is if this will continue through the New Year, or just after the weekend. Either way, the fact that that US is still not calling for a permanent ceasefire, is ludicrous, hateful, and inhumane.

Israel continues to lie, trap, and murder Palestinians. They told the Gazans to flee to Deir el-Balah - where Motaz resides, and then BOMBED them. Their goal? To trip Palestinians together so that they kill more people at once - their goal is mass murder, ahem, GENOCIDE. Their goal is ethnic cleansing. Israel’s bombardment of Gaza continues after it ordered civilians to evacuate the Bureij refugee camp; children are among the wounded in attacks on Deir el-Balah.

Day 76: UN Delays Vote on Aid; 576K Gazans at risk of hunger; More Bombings, and More Raids

Israel is bombarding Gaza with bombs throughout Gaza, killing more and more innocent lives daily.

Israel is conducting raids in the West Bank - taking more innocent Palestinians hostages, killing more innocent Palestinians, and taking their homes.

Now, in addition to incessant psychological warfare of Israeli drones over Gaza, continuous bombing, and being shot by snipers, the Palestinian people are STARVING.

AND, surprise, surprise, the UN isn’t doing their damn job.

UN votes 172 to 4 to extend the right to self-determination to Palestinians.

Meanwhile, here are the countries with a soul:

Yemen is controlling the Red Sea and preventing shipments from entering Israel

Algeria is preventing American military planes from flying over their airspace.
